To upgrade to Signature 2018, you must first upgrade Microsoft Dynamics GP and install any required service packs. Refer to the system requirements for Microsoft Dynamics GP and the upgrade information in the Signature Readme file to ensure that you have the correct version requirements fulfilled before upgrading Signature. Make sure to configure the Microsoft Dynamics GP database and upgrade companies before upgrading Signature.

Important account information
Enhanced WIP functionality was introduced with Signature 2010 R3. This includes new accrued cost accounts that are credited for the trailing costs of a partially received purchase order on a service call.
Be aware that if you are upgrading with any existing partially received purchase orders, the new accrued costs accounts will be debited when you receive the remaining committed costs after upgrading. If you have any existing partially received purchase orders, your accrued cost accounts may be out of balance to begin with. Manual adjustments can be made to fix this imbalance at month end.
