- Choose the Configuration Explorer icon and then choose Energy.
- Choose New Energy Monitor.
In the Energy Monitor Editor, in the General Settings tab, enter the Name and Description.
Expand - Choose the device Profile that contains the objects to be monitored.
Choose the Monitored Objects tab and choose Add.
Expand - Enter the Name.
Choose Status Value (On/Off, True/False, etc.).
Expand - Choose Next.
- Choose Next.
Enter the criteria that defines when the object is consuming power.
Expand - Choose OK.
Enter the Value and choose the Energy Consumption Type that occurs when the energy monitor object is active.
Expand - Choose Next.
- Choose Finish.
Choose the Devices tab and mark the check boxes checkboxes next to the devices to apply this energy monitor.
Expand - Choose OK.

Choose the Energy Monitor icon.
The following information displays.
Expand - Date/Time Range - Defaults to 28 days.
- Previous Period - Defaults to 7 days.
- Energy Range - Displays the Date/Time Range plus the Previous Period.
Energy Usage - Cost - Determined by the cost per kWh value on the Location and Energy tab of the Agent Configuration .
- Energy (kWh) - This value is the sum of Date/Time Range values.
- Previous (kWh) - This value is the sum of the previous Date/Time Range values. (Going back Date/Time Range + Previous Period.)
- Change (kWh) - Displays the change. The cell background displays as green when less and red when more.
Energy Usage by Time - Displays a comparison table of the Date/Time period usage to the Previous Period usage. Choose a row to view a focus down to hourly usage.
Energy Chart - The comparison chart displays the Date/Time Period Usage to the Previous Period Usage.
Usage Chart - The usage chart displays the usage over the Date/Time range.
- Use the handles on the left and right sides to adjust the time period focus of the chart.
