The steps in this section must be performed ONLY after completing an installation on the server. Users of the Job Import spreadsheet will log in as SQL users. THE WSIMPORT SQL group contains the minimum permissions necessary for users to import jobs into Job Cost. Note:

These steps must be performed by a qualified system administrator or IT personnel.

  1. Open Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
  2. Expand Security.
  3. Right-click Logins and select New Login from the menu. The Login - New window opens.
  4. Enter the name of the user.
  5. Select the SQL Server Authentication radio button and enter and confirm a password.
  6. In the left column, select the User Mapping page.
  7. In the top section of the window, mark the check boxes for the system and company databases.
  8. In the bottom section of the window, mark the DYNGROUP and WSIMPORT user role check boxes.
  9. Choose OK to save your changes. Repeat the steps above for the remaining users and companies, if applicable.
