  1. Make sure that Database Mail is set up on the portal server.
  2. In Signature Portal Security, set the default profile to Yes.
  3. In Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, in the Object Explorer pane, choose select Management > SQL Server Logs.
  4. Right-click Database Mail and choose select Configure Database Mail.
  5. On the Welcome to Database Mail Configuration Wizard page, choose select Next.
  6. On the Select Configuration Task page, choose select Manage Database Mail accounts and profiles.
  7. Choose Select Next and follow the instructions in the wizard.
  8. Make sure that database mail is working by choosing Send Test E-Mail.
  9. In the Object Explorer pane, select Databases > System Databases > mdsb > Security > Users.
  10. Double-click Guest, and then mark DatabaseMailUserRole in both frames.
  11. Choose Select OK and close Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
  12. Stop and restart the portal server.
  13. In Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, choose select Databases > System Databases > mdsb > Security > Roles > Database Roles.
  14. Double-click DatabaseMailUserRole.
  15. Make sure that Guest is listed under Role members.
