1. Choose Microsoft Dynamics GP > Tools > Setup > Equipment > Equipment > Types.
2. Complete the following fields, as necessary.
   • Equipment Type
     Enter an equipment type.
   • Description
     Enter a short description.
   • Long Description
     Enter a long description.
   • Account Mask
     Enter an Account Mask for the revenue on sale of equipment of this type. Use ? as the wild character. See About account masking for more information on account masking.
   • Eq. ID Segment Value
     Enter the name that you want to use for this type when the equipment ID of a new piece of equipment is set up to contain a segment based on equipment type. See Setting up equipment numbering types.
3. Choose Save.
