When creating appointments with the Appointment Wizard, the appointments are assigned the same Group ID. You may find that you need to split appointments from that Group ID to a new Group ID.

Schedule will only let you mark appointments that are not completed. If an appointment is completed, you cannot select that appointment to be split from the Group ID.

Appointments that are split from the original Group ID will no longer display in the Related Appointments window that is displayed by Group ID for the original Group ID. You can still view these appointments when you choose to view Related Appointments (and not choosing to display by Group ID.)

To split a group of appointments:

  1. Access the Related Appointments window from the Service Appointment, Job Appointment, Service Call, or Resource Activity window, select the Related Appointments  icon.
  2. Select By Group ID.
  3. In the Related Appointments window, mark the appointments to be rescheduled. You can mark all of the appointments by selecting the check box in the same row as the column headers or you can individually mark appointments.
  4. Select the Split Appointments icon.
  5. In the Split Appointments window, edit any of the following fields:
    • Description
You can edit the appointment/activity description.
    • Appointment Status
You can update the appointment status for the selected appointments/activities.
    • New Start Date

  6. Choose Split.
  7. Confirm that you want to split the appointments.
