The Manager Setup window is used to assign additional managers who can approve timesheets for an employee. Only Time administrators have access to the Manager Setup window. This setup window is available when Manager Approval is turned on in Company Settings.

The manager must be a TimeTrack user and be assigned to manage other employees in the TimeTrack Registered Users window. See Working with Manager Approval for more information about using Manager Approval.

  • Available Managers: Shows a list of all managers who can be assigned as a delegate. Available managers are displayed with a red bar. Note: If the selected employee is a manager, their name will not display in the available managers list.

  • Assigned Managers: Shows a list of the managers and delegates who can approve the employee’s time card. The employee’s manager displays with a green bar. This manager cannot be moved from the Assigned Managers column. Assigned delegate managers are displayed with a blue bar.

To assign/unassign a manager:

  1. In Time, select Administration.

  2. Select Manager Setup.

  3. Click the Employee drop-down and select the employee.

  4. In the Available Managers column, select the vertical button to the right of the manager’s name.

  5. Drag the manager to the Assigned Managers column. This will move the manager to the Assigned Managers column.

  6. Unassigning the managers works in the same manner. You will need to drag the manager back to the Available Managers column.
