You can create an equipment record using the New Equipment Entry window. The new equipment ID will be created using the equipment numbering format designated during setup.
- Select Microsoft Dynamics GP > Tools > Utilities > Equipment > New Equipment Entry.
- Enter the Equipment Category.
- Enter the Model, Equipment Type, Equipment Branch, and Equipment Division.
- In the Equipment Numbering Type field, select the format you want to use for the new equipment ID that is generated.
- Select Create. A message displays asking if you are sure you want to create the equipment record.
- Select Create. The system creates an equipment ID using the defined numbering system. The new record opens in the Equipment Manager window, where you can complete additional information.
