You can change an Equipment Management equipment ID using the Equipment ID Modifier utility. Depending on setup, you can change an existing equipment ID or create a new equipment record by copying an existing record.
- Choose Microsoft Dynamics GP > Tools > Utilities > Equipment > Equipment ID Modifier.
- Enter the existing equipment ID in the Old Equipment ID field.
- Enter the New Equipment ID.
- Choose Modify or Copy depending on your selection in the Equipment ID Modifier field in the Equipment Setup window. See Setting up equipment.
