Setting up Display Preferences

After you set up users and permissions, you need to determine what to display on the pages for a selected contact group. You can start from scratch and select the data that you want to display, or you can load a predefined visual template as a starting point. You can change a template and save those changes as a new template. You can also copy an existing template, change it, and rename it.

The DefaultJobCostTemplate.xml predefined visual template contains basic information about each job, cost code, change order, etc., and also details that pertain to costs, labor, and estimates.

For example, the Job Detail page displays this information:

  • Total revision forecast
  • Contract number
  • Last billing date
  • Estimated labor units
  • Actual labor units
  • Actual completion date
  • Scheduled start date
  • Scheduled completion date

If you already set up information to display, loading a template overrides those initial settings.
