Changing Equipment IDs

You can change an Equipment Management equipment ID using the Equipment ID Modifier utility. Depending on setup, you can change an existing equipment ID or create a new equipment record by copying an existing record.

1. Choose Microsoft Dynamics GP > Tools > Utilities > Equipment > Equipment ID Modifier.
2. Enter the existing equipment ID in the Old Equipment ID field.
3. Enter the New Equipment ID.
4. Choose Modify or Copy depending on your selection in the Equipment ID Modifier field in the Equipment Setup window. See Setting up equipment.
