Overview
Building Optimization Broker version 1.1.1 introduces Service Request Management and Advanced Communications!
Service Request Management is a BOB application that allows you to take action on the insights the building analysis provides.
With Service Request Management you can expedite time to service resolution by incorporating building data into your established service workflow.
This version was formally released on 8/25/2020.

Features
Request Service using the BOB UI
Your team can leverage Service Requests to create and track fixes for issues identified by analyzing building data within the Building Optimization Broker.
Automatically Request Service from an Equipment or System Fault
Service Requests can be created when an Equipment or System high-priority rule goes into a faulted state to quickly get a set of eyes on critical issues to expedite service calls.
Request Service using Email
Your customers can request Service by submitting an email to the Building Optimization Broker.
The email templates can also be utilized by 3rd party systems (e.g. CMMS, Analytics Systems, customer portals) capable of sending emails.
Request Service using the BOB API
A new set of APIs enable you to create and manage Service Requests from:
- 3rd party work orders systems (e.g. Dispatch software, CMMS) to BOB to integrate into your service workflows.
- An HTML web form on your website for customers to initiate a service request

Communicate effectively with Advanced Communications
Keep your customers in the loop.
Advanced Communications provides the ability to keep in constant contact with your customers.
Personalized HTML emails using your logo and corporate colors can be automatically delivered to your customers eliminating the need for manual touch-points as work orders transition through your service workflow.
Keep your Technicians up-to-date
Advanced Communications allows for SMS messages to be delivered to your Technicians when new appointments are Scheduled, Rescheduled or Cancelled.
Architect
Features and Improvements
In conjunction with Service Request Management and Advanced communications, a Technicians page has been added to Architect.
- A Technician is a person who works for your Company and performs service.
- Create and manage your list of Technicians.
- Technicians can be added to a Service Appointment in Service Request Management.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug where Sites were not being created when 1 or more fuel types are selected.
- Fixed a bug where Equipment was not being added to an Area.

Admin
Features and Improvements
There is a new card available in Admin for managing Advanced Communications.
On this page you have flexibility to implement a solution that fits your business:
- Enable or disable Advanced Comms for any of your Clients
- Manage when Advanced Communications and Technician SMS messages should be sent.
Personalize Advanced Communications by setting your Company Logo and Accent color!
In Admin, if you select to edit your Company there are now fields for Company Logo and Accent Color to personalize email communications with your corporate branding.
Dev Portal
Features and Improvements
To support 3rd party integration with the Building Optimization Broker, full CRUD was added for:
- Service Calls
- Service Appointments
- Technicians
These APIs allow you to create and manage Service Calls programmatically with your 3rd party tools such as Dispatch, CMMS or Analytics Software.
