IoT Hub
Features and Improvements
- You can now create Devices from scratch without using the BAS Inventory!
- If the scan of the control system is unable to find a Device, you can now add it manually.
- If you are using data loggers or other non-connected Devices and would like to use the Building Optimization Broker functionality you can now create Devices that can be used just like a BAS Device by uploading CSV data.
- The Devices and Objects table has been updated to load on demand. You should notice a marked improvement in load times on this table.
Bug Fixes
- NEXTBETA-113, 128: Fixed a bug with sorting in the Devices and Objects table.
Known Issues
- When creating BACnet Profile Objects manually (not using the BAS Inventory), you are unable to switch the data type which can cause a problem with Binary Inputs/Outputs/Variables that may be outputing Boolean data instead of Integer.
Workaround: Right now there is no work-around, we are planning to update this workflow to allow the User to switch the data type when manually creating Profile Objects.
Architect
Features and Improvements
- Added several Equipment-type improvements:
- NEXTBETA-100: Added an Other (HVAC) Equipment type for non-standard HVAC Equipment.
- NEXTBETA-96: Updated VAV Equipment types to the following:
VAV (Dual Duct)
VAV (Fan Powered-Parallel)
VAV (Fan Powered-Series)
VAV (Reheat)
VAV (Cooling Only)
Note: VAV (Generic) is still in place and will be deprecated in the future. If you are using this Equipment type, please set it to one of the updated VAV Equipment types.
- The following Sensor Types were added:
- Outside Air Temperature (Wet Bulb)
- Dew Point
- Building Static Pressure
- The following existing Sensor Types were modified to better reflect their use as System-level Sensors that can be applied to any number of Systems:
Chilled Water Differential Pressure is now Water Differential Pressure
Chilled Water Differential Pressure Setpoint is now Water Differential Pressure Setpoint
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a previous known issue where searching in the Sensor Type dropdowns was only showing 5 matches.
- NEXTBETA-119: Fixed a bug where the weather sensor preview was showing the same value for all samples.
- Fixed a previous known issue where Architect Wizard was not displaying existing Equipment unless the tree had been expanded.
Known Issues
- When an Equipment is selected in Architect, the Equipment Information panel will sometimes display the wrong information under the "Site" label. This is a UI bug and should have no impact on operation of the system.
Rule Builder
Features and Improvements
- The Rules table has been updated to provide more information when a recalculation is in progress. After a recalculation is kicked off, a browser refresh will show the status of recalculation.
Bug Fixes
- NEXTBETA-78: Fixed a previous known issue where Rule Builder was removing all Equipment types from the Target Filter when the user hit backspace.
Known Issues
- There are situations where a Rule may fail, but a debug message is not logged. We are working on enhanced logging to ensure that any failure will log a debug message so the problem can be resolved.
