Overview

Building Optimization Broker version 0.5.0beta gives early access to Rule aggregates! Rule aggregates provide the ability to look back through timeseries to get Sensor values like average, delta and count. It also allows for Rule-level processing like this Rule must be in a Fault state for 3 hours before a Fault is triggered.

Also included are several improvements to IoT Hub surround the BAS Inventory as well as bug fixes in many of the applications.

This version was formally released on 2/19/2020 to our beta customers.

IoT Hub

Features and Improvements

• Last Successful Inventory Scan was added to the Agent Management page as well as the BAS Inventory. This should help identify if/when an Inventory scan has completed successfully.
• The Devices and Objects table has been updated to be internally scrollable. This should match the aesthetic for some of our other tables.
• We've made some improvements surrounding interaction with the BAS Inventory
  • When creating Profiles or assigning existing Profiles, the Inventory will stay expanded and will remember any checkbox selections.
  • The Name Column has been extended to allow better visibility for nested objects.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed a bug that was preventing trend interval updates for BACnet Objects.

Known Issues

• Agent Logs have been removed from the UI for the time being.
  Workaround: The logs are still being stored in our cloud and will be visible again in a future beta release.
• While the Ping message does not display in the User Interface, the Ping is completing in the background and the connection status will still indicate whether the Agent is connected.
• Reassigning an Agent can sometimes cache the old Agent network configuration.
  Workaround: Create an Agent, configure the network THEN assign the Agent serial number.
• Deleting an Agent throws a server error, however the Agent is actually being deleted correctly.
  Workaround: After deleting an Agent, please refresh your browser window. The deleted Agent should no longer show on the list.

Architect

Bug Fixes

• Manufacturer is now an optional field for Equipment creation in Architect.

• Manufacturer is required in Architect Wizard even though it should be an optional field.
  Workaround: Fill in a Manufacturer for now. This will be resolved in a future beta release.

Rule Builder

Features and Improvements

• Rule aggregates are here! There are two levels of aggregates provided, Rule-level and Sensor-level.
  • Rule-level aggregates provide the ability to go back through timeseries after a Rule has evaluated. For instance, this Rule must have been in a Fault state for more than 3 hours before a Fault is generated.
  • Sensor-level aggregates provide the ability for you to go back through timeseries at a Sensor-level to find things like Count, Average, Delta, Min and Max.
• Rule aggregates are in prerelease, but we wanted to get feedback as soon as possible. There may be bugs in Rule evaluation using aggregates.

Known Issues

• Enabling or disabling a K2A Rule throws an error but will actually enable or disable in the background.
  Workaround: After enabling or disabling a K2A rule, refresh your browser and the K2A rule will update.
• You cannot currently delete a K2A Rule from your Company.
  Workaround: Disable the K2A Rule for now instead of deleting. You'll be able to delete them shortly!
• Selecting the Save button multiple times when creating a Rule will create multiple copies of the same Rule.
  Workaround:  After Rule creation, the Rule will reload. Please wait a few seconds before proceeding.
