BOB 1.0.2 - 06/25/20
Overview
Building Optimization Broker version 1.0.2 contains several high impact bug fixes as well as a smattering of feature enhancement in Architect, IoT Hub and Rule Builder.
Key improvements include:
- Introduction of a display column in Niagara BAS Inventories and Profile Creation screens.
- Additional metadata is available for Sensors to better understand mapping relationships.
- Taking steps to clean up the Rule debugger to offer concise information for Rule debugging.
This version was formally released on 6/25/2020 to our beta customers.
Reporting
Features and Improvements
No updates.
Known Issues
- In the Equipment Report Drill Down, the Sensor Timeseries widget is not loading correctly. We are working to resolve the data for this widget.
- In the BAS Agent Metrics Report, when selecting a time range that is near midnight (UTC), you have to select a future date to return information.
Workaround: Select an end date a day in the future. For instance, if you're trying to view current data for 11:00PM EDT on 6/17, you would need to select an end date of 6/19 in order to view the latest samples.
IoT Hub
Features and Improvements
- We've brought our Niagara BAS Agents to the 21st century and added a Display column to Niagara BAS Agent inventories!
You will need to refresh inventory to be able to retrieve display values from the BAS. - For BACnet BAS Agents, you can now use Object Names or Object Descriptions when creating Profiles. This is especially useful in certain BAS, like Alerton, where the Object Names do not include any relevant information.
When creating a Profile, if you'd like to use the Object Description instead of Object Name, you can do so on an Object by Object basis by selecting the "Swap Name/Description" button. - Updated the Profile Creation screen to also include the display values from the BAS Inventory.
- Improved error handling around Profile creation to better handle items that cannot be created in a Profile.
Bug Fixes
- No updates.
Known Issues
- When creating BACnet Profile Objects manually (not using the BAS Inventory), you are unable to switch the data type which can cause a problem with Binary Inputs/Outputs/Variables that may be outputting Boolean data instead of Integer.
Workaround: Right now there is no work-around, we are planning to update this workflow to allow the User to switch the data type when manually creating Profile Objects.
Architect
Features and Improvements
Added a Sensor count to the Equipment Dashboard tables. This will allow you to view how many Sensors have been created per Equipment.
- Added a Sensor Source column to the Sensor tables that displays what IoT source is feeding data to it.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug that was preventing conversions from being properly applied when creating Sensors using the Architect Wizard.
- Fixed a bug that was causing a blank screen to be shown when pressing the escape key in Architect Wizard.
- Fixed a bug where the tree was not refreshing when an equipment was deleted.
- Fixed a bug that was limiting how many Sensor Types were displayed when creating or editing Sensors.
- Fixed a bug that prevented all the Devices created in IoT Hub from showing up in the Device dropdowns in the Sensor create/edit modals.
- Fixed a previous known issue where wrong information was shown in the "Site" label when viewing Equipment.
Known Issues
- No known issues.
Rule Builder
Features and Improvements
- Sensor Filter creation now includes a searchable dropdown. You will no longer need to CTRL + F to find Sensor Types!
- Improved debug messages to include more information and remove some redundancy. This is still a work in progress.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug that was causing the Client filters to not be retained in the Target Filter of a Rule.
- There was a duplicate K2A Rule (High Supply Airlflow). The duplicate has been removed.
There was a duplicate K2A Rule (High Supply Airlflow). The duplicate has been removed.
Known Issues
- There are situations where a Rule may fail, but a debug message is not logged. We are working on enhanced logging to ensure that any failure will log a debug message so the problem can be resolved.
